I think I remember watching this movie in the 90s
It was about a father who was a scientist and had a wife and kid (or kids). One of the kids was sick and lived in a plastic bubble. The fathers job kept him away from home a lot and his wife was bugging him about never having enough time to be with the kid(s). So he invented a device to speed up his molecules so he could move faster. It was successful for a while and now with his super speed he had time for both work and his family. But it backfired and due to constant use, his bodies molecules got stuck in a sped up state. He became stuck moving in super speed and as a result everybody else around him seemed to stand still, and he was invisible to them due to his super speed. By the end of the movie, he got into his kids bubble chamber and they used an a/c or something to cool it down and thus slow down his molecules to return him to normal speed.
I know the movie is not clock stoppers from 2000, although it does seem similar
