I am trying to figure out if anyone knows the title of a movie...
The plot was about 2 high school students, girl and guy, who were the nerds of the school. They end up getting complete makeovers and decide to be exchange student, only when the principal picks up the other exchange students, its really the two nerds who look great and become the most popular kids in school. Then they can't seem to keep up. Any ideas? There has to be someone who knows this!?

Yah, and the guy had to go to a taning salon everyday to make his skin look dark and they said they were from France... but then the salon shut down and he laid on the beach in the wind trying to keep up his tan! BUT I DON"T KNOW WHAT IT"S CALLED EITHER... AARRGH!

This is the 1987 TV movie "Student Exchange", starring some young folks and Gavin "Love Boat" MacLeod, Heather Graham, Maura Tierney, Rob Estes, and O.J. Simpson (!).
