I had my last menstruation last feb.24,2011,and until now I didn't have menstruation,so I decided to take a pregnancy test and it was positive,I tried it twice and it is really positive. I had my transvaginal ultrasound today and this is what written:

Uterus is in the midline, anteverted and enlarged containing a 1.5-cm empty Cervix canal is closed.Adnexae are clea. Remainder is unremarkable.
IMPRESSION: Early pregnancy or blighted ovum.
COMMENT: Suggest follow-up after 2 weeks.

I would like to know what does this mean? Do I really have a baby in my womb? I want to know the meaning of this asap. Thanks!

I hope you receive an answer from one of our experts, but I have to ask, why didn't you ask for an explanation from your doctor. You must have sat down with him/her to receive the results of your ultrasound. I am quite sure if you phoned, you would receive an explanation quicker then waiting for one here from a volunteer.

In basic terms, your uterus is positioned normally and reproductive organs are also normal. It would be too early in a pregnancy to see much, such as fetal development, so a repeat ultrasound is required.

Congrats on your positive result!
