I had an accident in the state of New Jersey with a vehicle that was not mine and it was not insured, they suspended my license in 1997, I paid the judgement and the fine for driving without insurance to the courts and paid person damages for accident, but the car was not mine. I have been living in Florida since 1997, New Jersey keeps saying I owe an insurance surcharge from that accident and a restoration fee. And the person that owned the car always has a license. I have tried many yrs ago to get one in Florida but because of this I can't get one. New Jersey says I owe them $1500.00 from 14yrs ago.
I owed $335.00 in 1997 now they want all this money, really need my license what can I do?
