My tentant called me today to say that a puddle of water was in the house. It was located on an exterior wall below a window. On the other side of the wall, is the front porch that is covered. The house was built in 1961, block home on a concrete slab. Although there has been heavy rain, this has never happened. I am wondering if it is coming from the window, the exterior outlet or between the block and slab. Any suggestions?

Not really a plumbing question but maybe. I'd mop up the water and lay down newspaper. Wait and see where the water first reappears. Where do you live?

Maybe whatever is holding the flashing down where the porch roof meets the siding above the window.. I'd climb up there first. If it's once piece overlapping another especially.
Sometimes snow melt osmoses (?) under flashing once in a blue moon and although not ideal, people don't worry about it too much; just if it happens more than once a year.
