I had to turn off the main water supply in the house. When I turn it back on the kitchen faucet hot water now has a slow stream of water coming on (cold water runs fine). All three bathrooms hot water runs just fine, it's just the kitchen faucet. It was working just fine before I turn it off. What went wrong?

Thanks
Ji

Bits of debris broke loose from the main shut off valve and clogged the hot inlet of the faucet. Shut down the main again, open the faucet stem or cartrdige, clean, blow out the hot line by covering the open valve and turn the main on for a moment, reassemble. I would also flush the watrer heater, don't just drain it but flush it out with the main turned on.

Thanks ballengerb1

I got it to work. For some reason the hot water just needed to fill up somewhere. I took a nap and was going to do what you suggested. When I woke up I turned on the kitchen faucet hot water and it turned on. So everythig work fine now. Thanks so much for responding. I'll now save this website.

Glad its now fine but flushing the water heater twice per year is still a good idea
