Really need to know what does it do when it is supposed to spin? Are you hearing any noises, does the timer continue through the cycle, but I do suspect you have a bad lid switch. If you take a putty knife and go under each side of the console from the front, near the sides, you will be able to push on a spring clip which will release the console and allow it to hinge up toward the back. On the left side you will find the lid switch on the top with two wires attached to it and a third, green wire grounding it. If you jump out the two wires on the plug and it then spins, you need the lid switch. You can probably get it from Sears or any local appliance part business. Runs around $20.00. Hope this helps.
