Usually not if it was just a routine traffic violation. Your PO is only notified when you are re-arrested.

Do the terms of your probation require you to report ANY "run ins" with the Police? If so, NOT telling your PO in person, before the Police tell him/her, is a violation.

You should be okay if you report this police contact to your PO the next time you report in.
