I don't know what caused it, but this morning my "New Tab" button is no longer working.
I restarted Firefox, re-booted the computer and still it does not work.
When I click on the "New Tab" icon, a new tab does not open.
I'm using 3.6.16 on this computer.

I assume we're talking about the little plus symbol: 35749
Do you have any pop-up blocking add-on installed? It is weird that it was working one day and not the next.

No pop-up or ad blocking add-ons installed.

What happens when you click on it?
Is there an option to update that version to the current one, which may fix the problem?

FYI, if it helps: If I right click on a link to open the link in a new tab, that DOES work.

I was typing while you were :)
I'm using 3.6.16. I do know that 4.0 is available, but I don't like it yet. I do have Auto Updates set for Firefox but 4.0 has not been installed yet, so I'm presuming it's not an "official" update yet.
I tried 4.0 on my other computer but am not loving it.

I have 4.0 on all my computers. You can make the tabs appears where you are used to seeing them instead of on top (Thanks Ben for the tip), the Bookmarks are on the right-hand side now. I'm getting used to it. I'm sorry but I do not know how to fix your current Tab issue. :-(

I upgraded and all is good now.
I'm surprised, though, because in the past FF always automatically updated me to the latest version.
I stayed on the 3.x here on this computer thinking that the 4.0 was optional.
Thanks for helping, NK!
