Hi,

Installing a Panasonic bath fan 4” duct, via my attic. Plan on using insulated 4” flex piping
I will purchase a roof vent with a damper.
I live in the Cincinnati area with moderate snow.
I've read a few articles that are concerned that “Snow” will prevent the damper
From opening with the snow.
The ends of the house are to far away to vent through the walls.
Also, I believe Panasonic advises 4” solid piping.

A few questions:
Will my purposed install be okay? Don't want to create mold or rot in the attic.
Will the insulated flex pipe be OK?
Could I use solid 4” pipe?
Could I simple spray the pipe with some type of spray foam? What type?
Could I simple wrap the 4” pipe in fiberglass insulation – say R13?
Can I purchase an insulation sleeve for 4” solid pipe?
