I have an Amana package unit. I have been told that Goodman owns Amana. This past December my heater stopped working. I could hear what I thought was the burner coming on but the fan would not come on. I contacted a repair company and after checking the unit, they told me that it was the pressure switch that was bad. I was told that it would cost $192.00 to replace the switch. I told them that it would have to wait.
I found the switch in town and the part cost me $15.14 and about 20 minutes to install. As both electrical wires were the same color going to the switch, I positioned the wires so that I could get them put back on the correct terminals. The small hose could only go one place.

The pressure switch is by Goodman and the part number is 11112501.

Three months after replacing the switch, the heater went out again. I took the part back and was given another one at no charge. This time, it only lasted three weeks. I have ran the air conditioner and it works fine. What could be the problem with the heater portion of my package unit.

If you can answer my question, will you send it to [email protected] ?
