My sister just purchased me a 1 y/o full blooded Pomeranian, she eats fairly well, she pottys well outside and sleeps through the night between my husband and myself, she will get excited and want to play a few times during the day, but mostly she wants to be next to me and sleep. I believe the former owner very well may have been abusive since she shows some signs and that was the only former owner. I have had her not quite a week and she does this little cough thing like she is having some labored breathing and maybe a croupy cough or reversed sneeze. This has only happened a few times, but it is scary when it does. Does anyone have any suggestions for me. She is up to date on all her shots also. Is it advisable to do like a breathing treatment of 0.083 Albuterol via nebulizer.

Self medicating is dangerous for humans AND dogs. If you are concerned (when did the vet last see her), call the Vet and ask.

Maybe she's sick, maybe she's not, but a Vet can give you some guidance.
