Hi, I am on leave until next Monday, so I am unable to ask my employer this question until then and sadly need an answer ASAP.
My husband and I have gone to a third party to deal with our debt. We are trying to avoid bankruptcy, and are going with Debt Settlement instead. We just received a phone call from our agent informing us that one of our creditors is known for sueing if their clients go to a third party (they have dealt with them before). He also told us that int eh past another military member told them that the CF doesn't support wage garnishment but we should make 100% sure that they don't, otherwise this could be a major problem.

Does anyone know anything about this? I know that the military supports wage garnishment if it's in the form of child support that has been failed to be paid. But do they also support wage garnishment for creditors?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

They have no choice, they are unhappy if and when a soldier has money issues, since it can effect his performance.

But remember the majority of all debt "settlement" companies are frauds and do nothing that you could not do yourself. And the lenders are not required to work with them.

If your lenders are not willing to work out a settlement, you may have no choice but to file for bankruptcy.
