Half-life is 3 1/2 - 4 1/2 hours. It is metabolized in the liver and excreted in the urine.
I hope this helps.

It can stay in your bloodstream for up to 30 days.

If I were tested for vicodin in my system, how long would I have to have been without it to have a negative result?

At least 30 days. If you are concerned, you may have an addiction problem. Do you?

vicoden doesn't have a long acting affect. In other words, if you took one on a Monday and with out taking any more, you could test negative on Friday. It stays in the sys tem for the same duration as alcohol does. Now something like oxcontin that has a long acting affect can stay in the system longer. But if your worried about a problem talk to your doctor.

This may be true, but we had a gal test positive for vicodin for our nursing drug test and she took it 33 days prior to the test. She had a prescription due to a MVA in July.
Hmmm, so now I am wondering.

It can also vary by the amount taken prior to stopping for the urine test. A consistent use could probably pop positive.
