Please help! I have a 3 month old rotti who is great in doors. He is well behaved and a joy to play with but, when we get outside and head towards the street,he stops dead in his tracks and won't move.I have tried treats and telling him lets go.Petting him to let him know its o.k.I am stumped! I don't know what to do.I take him to training classes once a week and the trainer told me to pull him along the ground.Yesterday I did that and he still didn't budge. He ended up vomiting so today I went out and got him a harness in hopes that he might feel more safe but again, once we hit the street,he stopped and didn't want to go any farther. If you have any advice please help.

The concrete and asphalt surfaces are strange feeling to him, and the wide-openness of the world is mind-boggling!

Put yourself in his place and pretend you are his size. Monster cars whiz by, strange breezes are blowing and contain thousands of smells that he can't sort through.

Do you have a back yard for him to play in and get used to being outdoors?

The Dogs Experts will be here later, and they will give you good advice.
