I have a situation were I have been placed with a Violent Restraining Order on the grounds of texting messaging from an unknow mobile number and contact Telstra myself and the number is not my account. The person has taken this into work and got HR involved without any strong proof? The person has told my work mates that I have distroyed her marriage and I'm texting her being spriteful. This has been going on since last year start on the 25/10/2010.
What can I do, the information she is providing to the courts is not true its false and misleading? She has slandered my name at work?

I don't see how a VRO can be placed just from texting from an unknown mobile number. If the number was unknown how did they determine it was you texting? Sorry, but this just does not sound plausible.

What is going on with the 'courts'? Don't know what you can do. This isn't the whole story.

Im rejecting to the VRO on Thursday 24th and I have other witnesses at work who she has spoken too accussing me of other things as well were I have had witnesses with me present on those occasions. It all happened she had an affair with my eldest nephew and she was marriage her husband resided about 900 km away were we both work. And she told my nephew that she was single and that her relationship of 29 years was over. And that she wanted him being aboriginal and were our families are our life in our culture. I told my nephew that I don't believe her and I decided to call the husband who I also had respect for his other 2 brothers cause they are my in laws.THe husbnd re assured me that they not finished and that he sort of knew she was having an affair in Karratha wa. She has a reputation for having an affairs over the 27years of their marriage. I informed the husband because I knew this woman was lying and I didn't want my nephew and the husband having a fight? Cause my nephew just recently got out of a long 22 year marriage were he found out his wife was having on going affairs as well with others? So this woman have slanded my name at work and she is now trying to place this VRO on me.

So basically you got involved and contacted a women husband, and told him his wife was having an affair.

So now she is trying to get even with you by ruining your life now.

I would like to know if I can put this person up for slander?

Hire a lawyer and charge her then. But, will you win the court case after spending tons of money trying to sue her for defamation?
