Hello,

I have been paying rent for over a year but missed Feb and Mar due to loss of employment and problems getting employment insurance. Landloard gave me some time but I couldn't come up with funds so she started threatening that she would kick the door down and she was sending a balif over to serve me cort papers. I told her its fine to send the balif over that I am ready to move and let her know that I was in the process of applying for social assistance and by law that money can't be seized. When she found out Iknew that she grew mas and said they chase me for 10 years when I file income tax. I told he no problem as a north american indian we don't file income tax. She grew more irate and tried to pressure me into paying her abit each month and to just move out. I told her to please continue with the balif. The next day she comes over all nice and says she wants to help me save 500 in fees and instead of her sending the balif over.

Instead of sending a balif to sign this paper confirming that she gave me the other paper she was holding. The other paper was a demand for none payment and only listed my name address and amount owed nothing about a move out date. I asked her gor an english copy as it was in French she said she didn't have and tried to pressure me into just getting a friend to come and quickly translate it. I told her no and that I would prefer my legal advisor to read it first and confirm first if I should sign it. She said she can't give me the paper unless I sign so I told her to I am mot signing it and proceed with balif. She grew mad saying I don't understand why you won't sign it I am trying to save you money so your out before April. She asked when I can move out told her I could today but will wait till the date court tells me to. She grew more mad and finally agreed to make photo copies so I can have someone translate. She dropped the copies off didn't say a word and speed off. Any advice help is appreciated?

You don't seem to need advice. You already know every angle. I guess it doesn't matter to you that owning a building is expensive. You have somewhere to go, so go.

First, if you ran out of space it means you were typing in the wrong box. I've merged the two posts for you.

Second, if you can't pay, then you move. It is unfair of you to expect the landlord to provide you with free housing.
