A girl and her boyfriend go to her grandmothers house to borrow money, but her grandmother ends up telling her a story of when she was young Her grandmother's dad had health problems and is the pastor. He gets the grandmother to go meet a man at the train station to show him around town. They finally get to know each other and they are slowly falling in love. The grandmothers father dies and she finds out that she is going to lose her fathers house. She moves in with her neighbor that is totally in love with her, they get married and she is still in love with that other man that goes back into war.
