My daughter was sexaly molested by an uncle. She is 4 years old and he is about 37. I was told by the DA that he was pursuing "sexual cotact with a minor" for him. But I wanted to know the least time and most time he could be given. I want my child to be safe and know he will pay for what he did to her.

Something doesn't add up here. Why is the DA seeking 'sexual assault with a minor'? This is far worse, this is sexual interference with a child which should carry a far stiffer penalty. He not only has to pay in this case, but he has to be kept off the streets so he can't do it again, and possibly, your daughter hasn't been the only one.
I know the Canadian law is ten years or more for this type of crime; I can't find out what the US law is. However, the DA is pursuing the wrong category here; where does he get 'minor' out of it.
