My GE weathertron thermostat quit working. It appears there is no power. Circuit breaker is not tripped. Removing the cover and inspecting the wires to the mercury ampules shows everything in tact. I have not removed the thermostat to check the incoming wiring yet. The thermostat and furnace were working just fine prior to it going out.Is there anything else I should be looking at?

You have a blown low voltage fuse on the control board or a blown transformer. If you have a low voltage fuse on the control board it can be replaced with a simple automotive fuse of same size. The true question is why did it blow?

Thanks for the response. This unit doesn't have a control board. The unit looks very simple and is most likely the original installed when the house was built. I did take it off the wall and all the wiring and solder joints look in tact. I'm at the end of my electrical knowledge and confidence to continue. Thanks for the response.
