Okay so I have had vaginal itching for the past few months. It has been over a year since the last time I had unprotected sex. I got a pap smear which come back normal. The doctor ran some tests including HIV, Herpes, Syphilis, Hepatitis, Chlamydia and a fungal screen which all come back negative. The doctor asked me if I have had my HPV immunisation which I have. At the time I did not realise that all warts where caused by HPV as I just thought that HPV was an STI. I have been getting warts on my hands since I was about 9yrs old. I currently have 2 warts on my face.
Could the itching be a sign of genital warts even if there is no warts there? Would the pap smear have picked up warts if they were present?
