So my husband and I are starting a Lawn care business. We won't have any employees just the two of us working. Our potential client told us to be licensed and bonded. I understand being licensed but what does it mean to be bonded? And how do I go about doing that? We work in WA if that helps. Any information would be great.

While there is no real requirement, esp for a lawn care,
There are dozens of various "bonding" do they want a performance bond, that pays in case you don't do the work ?
Or are you going to be handling their money to be "bonded"

The issue is, no you don't even have to be insured if you want to risk it, if the other party will hire you, if they require you to be bonded, you will have to be, but they will need to tell you what type of bond they want. There are bonding companies, just like insurance companies
