Has anyone tried cinnamon pills for weight loss? I was reading an article recently which said that they were beneficial not only for lowering blood sugar, but also reducing belly fat. I do have underactive thyroid and am currently awaiting getting blood work so I can resume taking medication. I have been very conscious of my diet and exercise regularly, but seem to be having difficulty in losing any more weight or inches. While on medication for my thyroid with diet and exercise I managed to lose about 45 lbs. and so far have maintained that loss but have not been able to lose more. I know I need to be back on the meds but I am also looking for more natural alternatives to help with the weight loss as well. Any information or tips are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I just read an article as well in Woman's Weekly (maybe try & find that issue if you can - last weeks I believe - it had an eating plan as well) and have been looking up some info online today. I also went out and bought some powdered cinnamon instead of the capsules and am going to start adding it to my food (tried it in yogurt and it was pretty good!). Found a neat recipe for cinnamon/honey tea that might be good as well. There seems to be a lot of added benefits to adding cinnamon to your diet, for blood sugar levels, energy levels, etc, etc. I figure it's worth a try!
