I have H1-B status since 2005. I got married last year and my wife arrived on 4th November 2010, on H4. I am in Portland, Oregon
I got questions regarding Federal Filing
Q1. Can I file Federal Tax return jointly without ITIN numnber ONLINE? (Spouse not working)
Q2. Is there a way to get ITIN number by phone or going in-person to TAX office?
Q3. If none of the above true then when I am filing Federal Tax return, what other forms do I need to fill other than 1040XX form?
Q5. Is it OK if I get delayed in filing State Tax till I get spouse's ITIN number from Federal Tax authorities or do I need to file extension?

Hi MukutA,
Thanks for the reply. Regarding Q5, Does yes means I am OK or is it necessary to file extension ?
