How to change door switch on maytag neptune dryer. Would this cause dryer to not start... light isn't working

Hello,
The door and front panel would need to be removed in order to change the dryer door switch.
The screws around the door jamb need to be removed to access the door switch. The link below is a video that explains how to open a Maytag dryer to get inside.

With the front off the dryer you will be able to push the tabs in and push the door switch out. Remove the wires one by one so you don't get confused.
