dash panel illumination, interior lighting and park lights have quit working. Power 12v-dc through the fuse and into the multi-plex unit but no signal out on the red/blk wire that i believe is the supply for all of these components. ive tried a used multi-plex unit and a headlight/park light/turn signal switch and it didn't fix the problem. Im lost. It's a nice car with a 6-month old trans which was worth the value of the car but well worth the ride in the long run until this. Some one has to know what this is or how to properly repair the problem.

Jerry rigging electrical systems is dangerous and unprofessional. Others should not follow his advice and install a jumper wire. Instead, test all under dash and under hood fuses with a test light or multimeter. It could easily be a blown or corroded under dash fuse controlling power to the dash and parking lights. The male connectors to the fuse may need to be cleaned with abrasive cloth, and twisted slightly with a pair of pliers, to improve connectivity. If the problem persists, installing a new ignition switch and harness usually solves the problem--it does on most Hondas. In a minority of cases, a faulty combination light switch or multiplexer is responsible for the problem. Stay with it until you properly solve the problem (no short-term patches); otherwise, take it to the dealer for repair.
