I've been reading reviews and people are saying Trane HVAC units are Pieces of s***, is that true? I always thought Trane/American standard systems were top quality and were better than Carrier. I personally like Carrier as my #1 choice. So witch is the best Trane or Carrier?

That question should get a few respnse--Good and Bad. All Hvac equipment works the same way and use the same refrigerant, Compressors, fan motors, contactors, capacitors, they all are pretty much the same. They just mount different. Yes some brand will offer a higher SEER value and some a EER value. But it all boils down to the WARRANTY and how it is installed. You can have the best equipment in the world but if installed wrong it turns to $#!%.

@ T-Top Ok!so no matter what the brand is if it is installed right it will work fine? And if it is installed poorly it will turn to S***?

Everything is a piece of junk now a days. Trane and carrier are both top of the line. Even installed perfectly fine things will sometimes break on any system. Carrier and trane are both solid constructions, from a service stand point trane is easier to get my hands into and take apart.
