I am trying to get information about a person I met online from Accra Ghana,Can you tell me how to do this?

Their nation has little resourse for any background check, You could find from the US embassy there a private investigation firm and have them check out a person.
But, even if that person is real, most likely it is a dating scam.

99.99999 percent are, if they are asking for money, if they asked for more than 300 dollars for a visa and a passport,

If they mention they need 1000's of dollars in the bank to leave. If they tell you that you can not arrange a pre paid airline ticket.

In most cases, it may not even be a girl you are chatting with, most cases there are rooms with people at computers, all using some of the same photos and written scripts.

Call your airline, and get a plane ticket and go to Ghana,

Basically if it is real, they get everything they need and will just come here without you paying anything, passports and visa are about 300 total, there is no need for money in the bank, and physcials and more.

So when they ask for more than 300 dollars you know it is a scam
