I am italian and I have to fill in federal tax return. I came on J-1 visas and worked there all the summer. I want to ask you if there is some article in the law which can I use as a tax extension for filling my fgederal taxes.

You probably earned enough to require that you file the return. However, if you claim your daily living expenses on Form 2106 and file it along with the Form 1040NR, you probably will get most, if not all, of the withheld income taxes refunded to you.
