I live in TX and the house I am renting is being foreclosed on... the sale date is today I have been paying my rent on time but my landlord defaulted on his mortgage what are my rights? Will I be required to move out right away?

It depends... are you month to month, or do you still have a lease? They have to give you a 30 day notice if you are month to month... and they have to honor the lease if there is still one in effect.

Under federal law passed last year, the new owners have to honor your lease. At the least they are required to give you 90 days noti ce to vacate.

Once the sale is finalized, hold on to your rent until you are given instructiuon on who to pay it to.
