Hi everyone,
We have brothers that are going on 5 months, we rescued them from the local animal league (lab mix). They were doing very well until yesterday and today, Dakota, has urinated 3 times in the house. I don't know what is going on. One time, he had just woken up for a nap and the door was cracked, he usually just goes outside. Instead he walked away from the door and went on the carpet.

I'm not sure what is happening... our routine hasn't changed.

Any thoughts??

Sometimes puppies will relapse. You're just going to have to reinforce your potty training methods.

5 months is still very young. You shouldn't expect a perfectly house trained puppy until at least 12-13 months.

Thank you very much and I will do. They ate this morning and 5 minutes after, took them outside... let them play and so far so good :)

Thanks for setting our expectations.

You can't allow bad behavior to go unpunished, and for good behavior to go un-rewarded. That's why if you catch the puppies in the act of pissing on your floor, scold them immediately, then take them outside and tell them "good doggy" when they pee outside. This should teach them better habits.
