My father has sole custody of my 2 year old sister. Her mother has visitation. Her mother was supposed to return her Wednesday at 4pm. It is now Friday at 2pm. Her mother called the police and made a report. The police stated they succeeded the judges rulings and that the mother can now keep my sister. The police stated they have turned the case over to social services. Social services won't tell us anything, the police haven't said what my dad has been accused of, and we haven't spoken to my sister since Wednesday. What do we do?

What do you mean by the Police succeeded the judge's rulings? The Police CANNOT change a Court ruling unless they get another Court ruling.

The only exception I can think of is if Social Services somehow got involved and/or the mother got involved and there is a temporary Order - even then, your father would have had to be advised.

Your father has to go back to Court TODAY IF HE CAN and file for an emergency order for the return to him of your sister.

This is your father's problem and you have no legal standing, of course.

Your father needs to go back to Court IMMEDIATELY.
