What does your loan documents say about a mechanic lien?

Normally no, as long as you pay them back, but the other lien could cause them issue, so you need to look at the terms of your loan

What state is this? In most places with which I am familiar, a "mechanic's lien" has nothing to do with automobiles and people who fix them. And, of you have it, the statutory citation for this lien you are concerned with would be helpful.

Hello k:

The bank would NOT have a mechanics lien on your car, so one being on your car would not prompt them to repossess it. Some OTHER debtor put that lien on your car.

You mean "creditor".
