I was assaulted outside of a bar on there property a bouncer is only present in the back of the bar and not in the front. My jaw was broken and my mouth has to be wired for 6 weeks to be healed. Do I have a lawsuit against the bar if I pursue

I'm a liability investigator. I work a LOT of bar fights - usually for the loser, I might add.

The bar is not responsible for injuries OUTSIDE the bar. You are not responsible for injuries on the sidewalk in front of your house.

If the person who assaulted you became intoxicated INSIDE the bar you have a slim chance that the bar would be found negligent. In most cases the intoxicated person is escorted outside and the bar's responsibility ends there.

I trust you are suing the person/persons who assaulted you?

(I have worked a couple of cases where the fight started inside the bar and the bouncers threw all parties outside, where the serious assault occurred. In both cases the injured party collected nothing against the bar.)

We don't know who the people were I was blind sided while standing outside. No altercation took place prior too the incident that occurred. It was a straight mugging on their part. Once the act was committed the aggressor ran away with his friends and no one caught them or who they were.

Have you looked into a Crime Victims Board/Panel which would assist you with your expenses?

Now that I know the circumstances there is absolutely no way the bar was responsible. As I said, they do not patrol the sidewalk in front of their establishment and it would appear the assault was totally unrelated to their business.
