My ex and I were together for 5 years, and after we she left me to pursue other things in life. It left me devastated I moved to her country left my family. I started over and now have a stable job. Its been almost two years, and I still miss her terribly, she cheated on me, and that was one of the reasons of the break up.

She's no longer with that guy but has been with others in this time as I have. I still can't stop looking at her profile pic, as were no longer fiends on social networks. I can't forget her. I'm about to go crazy, unless I get some advice my heart breaks at the thought of her, as we were happy as from a dream and then she left .

I have pondered if she was a narcissist and.. its possible. Please if anyone has been in the situation, its ruining my relationships with other people I have failed to trust others and have almost completely focused all my attention on work and the gym. Help. I beg of you.

PS. I refuse to let this beat me. I will get stronger of this and be a better man than I was.

Gym and work don't work if people don't interact much there. People are the cure. Friends, family, courses, hobby and sport clubs, and volunteering.

My advise is stop stalking her on the social websites, and you won't keep reliving, and refeeling old memories.

Make new ones and heal from the past.

It is very hard to let go of negative things that have happened in the past (I've been there).

My only advice is to try to stay open minded. I convinced myself that the woman I was with just happened to hurt me, and not ALL women would.

Feelings are hard to let go... sometimes you need another GOOD relationship to make you realize that. It took me 3+ years to get over some of my issues with "trust" and found a woman who was TRUE to me. . And I haven't looked back.
