Although not an expert I am concerned by 37 yr old daughter's 12 week dating scan 'pic appears to show no nasal bone. She was told after the scan everything looked fine. Please can you reassure me if the synographer couldn't see a nasal bone she would have mentioned this? Thanks.

Have you discussed your concern with the doctor ?

The ultrasonographer is not the one reading the scan. That would be up to a doctor or radiologist. So, no, she would not have mentioned this.

Problem is I am just the mum and afraid to say anything that may upset. I think you are probably not in the UK but I also have another daughter pregnant and it is the sonographer here who informs them if all is well or there could perhaps be a problem. That is why I know at the scan the 'pic of the nasal bone may have been looked at, at another angle than the 'pic I have. Thanks for your input.
