I am 36 years old with 2 children. I had my tubes tied about 6 years ago. My period is regular and it always on time 21st of each month. My last period was in Nov 06 and it is now Jan 07. I am over due by 3 weeks, did a preggy test 2x and they were both negative. Have not been to the docs yet. Is it still possible to get preggy after your tubes has been tied?

Yes it is possible. I would go in for a blood test.

Yes it is possible. Go to the doctor and get checked out. At the same time because of your tubes being tied, there is a possibility of other complications if you turn out to be pregnant. It could be other things that are just normal changes.

As the others said, yes it is possible. However, at age 36 it is also possible that you are beginning to go through perimenopause (the early stages). It is best to see your doctor and have a full exam and workup done to see what is happening to your body.

Pregnancy at your age isn't rare at all especially with your tubes tied .Go see your doctor to verify whether you are pregnant.

If like J-9 says its early menopause symptoms don't worry about it , it's a natural thing that wee woman go through.

My mum for example took hers at your age , although she still 10 years later has hormonal imbalance there are medications and that would help .

Go for the physical by your doctor , I suggest if its just down to stress( physical changes can happen due to thia ) take some "time out" to yourself and relax calm , slow down your pace and you'd feel a lot better. But go see your doctor.

Thanks to all for replying to my "problem". I was a bit scared that I might be going through perimenopause and sad that I was not pregnant. Finally on Jan 27th I got my period. I'm not too sure why it took this long but it is finally here. So could it have been stress the reason why it nearly took 2 months or there could be something else wrong with my body. Well I know that I better make that appt to see the doctor to find out what could be the cause of this.
Once again, thank you all.

Skyegirl,

Glad to hear that everything worked out in your favor. Yes, please make that doctor's appointment.

Please understand that it is not unusual for a woman your age to begin perimenopause. Also, understand that this can last 6 - 10 years before reaching full blown menopause. Meopause is described when you have not had your period for a full year. I am coming up on that this May.

Please keep us posted on what you find out.
