Hi I am looking for a little tech support, let me explain. I have a 1f82-261 programmable electronic digital thermostat. Had tech out to look at it and my heat pump and he said all is fine. I don't think he understood my problem. I can set the thermostat to 70 and the room temp is 69, the heat pump will start and work fine for a little while then the flaming icon will start flashing meaning that the aux or emer heat has come on and it will stay on until the set temp is reached. Does it every time. I don't think this is the way it is suppose to work, is it? I know the defrost cycle works fine on my heat pump and the aux heat come on like it should in defrost cycle. On the configuration menu EMER is set to SL and FA is off and everything else is set to factory default. Please help. What should I tell my tech to do, I don't think he understand the system that well. I hope you have consumer support that I can talk to, some who understands the thermostat better than my tech.
