I am on H1b visa resident alien for tax purposes. My wife is on H4 visa going to school in Michigan for Master's degree.I have couple questions in which I seek your help.
Any info on these will be deeply appreciated.

1) Is there a place I can use deduction in Michigan tax return for tution I paid for my wife in 2010?

2) I have send $7500 to India in 2010 for my loan payments & family maintenance. Is there some place in Michigan tax return I can claim these as an expediture.

In both questions, I do NOT think there is anywhere on the Michigan return where you deduct those costs.
