I have a 1999 Honda Civic Sir 1.6l DOHC that has no spark and does not start. I have replaced the plugs, cap, rotor and still nothing. When the initial problem started the car would hesitate on acceleration and sometimes turn off. The car has about 170,000 km and I have never had this problem before. There is no engine light on. The car used to start and then turn off when is was hot. Now the car doesn't start at all. Can someone please help me with some advice or has anyone encountered this problem before. If so what was the problem?

Assuming the CEL comes on for 2 seconds and then goes out, when the ignition switch is turned to ON (Position II), then replacing the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil will solve your problem:
