I'm fourteen years old, and I live in a townhome with my mom. About two years ago weird things started happening in my house, things I couldn't explain. My mom was dating a really weird guy and he may have played a roll in this, but the first odd thing that happened was my mom stayed home on a Friday night to paint the walls and scrub the carpet, and she didn't tell anyone. Some guy on Facebook messaged her saying, you have nothing better to do than paint the walls and scrub the carpet , well how would he know? So I inetially thought there was a camera watching our every move. But then she broke up with him. And I started getting weird feelings like as I was walking down the stairs I felt like someone was watching me. I heard knockings coming from up stairs. And one night me and my friend were home alone watching TV and my TV automatically turned off. Things stopped for a while but then they started up again. I would go home and my garage door would be wide open, my bedroom door we be closed when I got home, and I knew for a fact I left it open when I left. I would smell weird things, and keys and important papers would go missing. I don't know if my house is haunted or if someone is breaking in. oh and another thing, my grandma pasted away in October of 09. Right when weird stuff started happening. And the weirdest thing is that, every cousin of mine that is a girl swears the same thing is happening to them. I don't know what to think , please help me.

I have difficulty with the whole Facebook comment - my guess? Your mother told someone, particularly if she stayed home.
You need to speak to a clergyman.

My mom didn't tell anyone. She found it embarrassing she wasn't going out on a Friday so she didn't want to tell anyone. I've also been having dreams that someone was in my house and then he ran outside and my parents tried catching him. Then I would wake up and I can't breathe like someone was choking me is what it felt like, I really have no idea what is going on .

When you called your mom's boyfriend "weird", can you be more specific? Did it appear he might be involved in the occult in some way? Did this stuff start about the time she started dating him or before? Hang in there, there is hope and an explanation. I'd love to hear back from you.

Well ex boyfriend now. But they started dating and he was an aloholic. And I called him weird because weird things started happening in the house when he was around. But even after they broke up (its been almost a year and a half) things kept happening and he has moved so he is completely gone. Its just weird things that happen that is almost impossible for an outside source to be capable of doing, like my mom woke up in the morning and it was a day that I wasn't staying with her, and there was a huge black stain on the carpet and then she cleaned it completely gone and when she came back home on her lunch break it was darker than it was before, advice please.

You are aware that she is 14, posting on an adult thread? I think this is one of these situations where caution is called for.

With respect to JudyKayTee, point taken. As I often state, the reliability of truth and detail is the bane of the internet. But, nataliejo14, I will take you at your word here as these things DO happen in real life. There is help and I do offer you advice. Without detailed information and interview, it is hard to discern what is really going on. By the information given of you, something demonic COULD be afoot. What is the religious/spiritual tone of your home? Spiritual issues, demand spiritual answers. While something of this nature may not be the CAUSE of the problem, it can fuel it.
