I am an indian citizen and a US company is willing to hire me as an Independent contractor where I have to work from India. In that case will I have to pay taxes to only Indian government or only US Government or Both?
What are the channels through that I can take payments from them.Or how can I deposit a Check drawn from US bank in dollars to my indian bank account.
Please guide me through this procedure.
Thanks In advance

If you work and live in India, then, under the U.S.-India Tax treaty, you pay taxes ONLY to India; there is NO U.S. tax liability.

How you get the money from them is up to you and the people for whom you work. Personally, I would have them transfer the money directly into my local bank account.
