I have a table saw motor that runs slow. It can be wired 115/240V. I have tried to wire it both ways but still slow. I took the motor to a local repair shop and he stated that I needed a rotor and stated that I would be better off buying a new motor. He also said he does not repair motors any more. I pulled the armeture and I don't see a rotor. I do see something the looks like a spring loaded brake. On the end of the shaft at the fan end. I am in a remote area and would have to travel 100 miles or more to get it fixed. When he pit it back together, he did not connect one of the wires that is attached to the coil marked #5. Can anyone tell me how ti rewire the motor and what suggestions you have for the problem. Tks.
