Can anyone tell me anything about either of these pieces. The one signature looks like "auguste 44" and seems to be pencil, maybe. The other is an oil and its signature looks, to me, like M. DeCamp. I know nothing about either one of them. I inherited them when I bought a house. Thanks for any help.

If you Google M. DeCamp, you will see the same picture. Sure it's not a print?

I can't tell you how many times I've googled that name any came up empty. I had to have typed in some kind of misspelling. Go figure... sheesh. I apologize for wasting your time on that one.

As far as it being a print? I went back and gave it a bit more of an in depth look. When I first looked at it I saw some marks that looked like brush strokes. After looking at it a bit more in depth there are what looks like brush strokes if you look as quickly as I did, but, in fact are not.

Also, while I was taking the time to actually look at it I found another piece of small text. It has the copyright sign with the letters M&B. I guess I see now why it was left behind. :-)

I guess my ignorance of art is beaming rather brightly.

I am going to see if I can get better pictures of the other.

Again,Thank You and so sorry for wasting your time.
