I was hoping that someone on here could tell me the name of a movie that I saw on TV in the 60's - 70's about a pioneer family traveling west on a wagon train. I believe that they were headed to Oregon. They had a son who fell in love with a young lady on the trail & if I remember correctly, they got married. I have done all kinds of searches for this movie & have run out of places to search. I remember them having to throw their piano & other possessions out to lighten their load. The rest is a blur.

Thanks a lot for any help at all. Even if anyone knows the actors names I could go on & search from there.

I think the movie you're looking for is The Way West (1967) with Kirk Douglas. I don't remember who the young man is but the bride is Sally Fields.
