View Full Version : Suds are coming out of the bottom of the machine, pouring out!

The suds keep coming out of the bottom and it's done it twice now. Not before. I remember another machine I had did this once and I called the repair man and he did something simple. Is there a filter somewhere besides (right in the middle) big center filter? A drain that may need looking at? I'm not seeing it.
Thanks in advance!

I am assuming you mean your dishwasher. The only time that happens, is when someone has tried to use dishwashing detergent instead of the regular dishwasher detergent. When that super hot water hits that dishwashing liquid, well, hell nor high water will stop it until you get into it and start mopping it up.

Dishwasher detergent is formulated low suds.

That big filter has to send water with any garbage straight to a 1/2" rubber hose, at right angles and then uphill to your sink drain or disposer. Not easy when you load dishes with food all over them. Don't listen to those commercials; soak dishes in cold water and load later.
If you have an air gap, clean it with a toothpick.
If you have 2 soap dispensers, make sure no one used both.
If no air gap, try running your disposer and check your sink drain for good drainage. Remember, it's a lot of water at once. Don't run it if the disposer hasn't been cleared.
Try a quick rinse cycle with no detergent to clear clogs.
