Hello, I'm not really too familiar with contraception on birth control and my friend has ran into a problem. He said he came in his girlfriend about 5 days after she switched contraceptive pills. The new pill she is taking is supposed to be stronger medication. Is there a high chance that she will be pregnant? And the time was around the first 10 days of the beginning of her period.

If she had continued taking the pills from one brand to another without skipping any she is likely not going to become pregnant. It is possible, but not likely. If it occurred when she was very close to her period, the odds again would be in her favor of not becoming pregnant... odds increase if it was several days after her period had finished.

Okay as far as I know she was consistent and it was about a weeks or two after her period. In other words, I believe it was far from ovulation, but again I'm not the expert. SO any extra input on this information?

A friend of mine did this same thing. She wound up pregnant not once but twice (the first time she miscarried because she didn't know)

She needs to take a test.
