Hello. I was a J1 Hotelmanagement trainee from March 2009 until September 2010. For 2009 I got a full tax return (there had only been federal income tax withheld, no social security or medicare tax). In 2010 however my J1 visa ended in September and I returned on an H1b visa in December 2010. The question is, if I can still file as a non resident for 2010 and get a full federal tax return?
