I am a Masters Student from TX, worked part time in the university from Jan to August 2010 and earned $9500 (received W-2, federal tax withheld:$298), then went for a CPT in GA from Sept 2010 to Dec 2010 and earned $8000 (no tax withheld by the company, received 1099Misc).
How do I file my tax return for 2010? What is the India-USA treaty for F1 students indicate for tax return?
I know there is no state tax for TX, should I pay state tax for GA? If yes, how much?
Thanks in advance.

You will file nonresident tax return and Form 8843. For 1099-misc income you will complete schedule C-EZ (Form 1040). YOu will not pay SE tax as you are exempt.
