He aranges to meet up with him on messenger an at the time we are supposed to be on together he is usually not on an later says he is sorry he fell asleep

He either decided he didn't want to talk to you online then or he really fell asleep.

If you're interested in any form of a relationship with him, whether it's a friendship or more than that, I would give him the benefit of the doubt and believe that he really fell asleep. If he keeps flaking, then I would start doubting.

Well its happened a few times but we do meet up too an he is always so sweet an polite, would he not just tell me if I was a bother or if he wasn't interested. He gets up at 5:00 am. An we can only talk at 10:00 pm so maybe he is tired.

I would just be straight forward and ask him. But yeah, if he's getting up at 5 am, I would definitely believe he fell asleep. I've had to be at work at 5 am. People are always like "oh, but then you get off early and it's like having the day off!" I laugh because it's nothing like that, I go home and usually am asleep by 6 or 7, if I can even stay up that much longer.
